On Monday, July 1, the Trinity Health System Foundation drew the winning ticket and announced the winner of the 2024 Mustang Raffle.
The drawing was held at 12:30 p.m. in front of the new main entrance of Trinity Medical Center West, located at 4000 Johnson Road in Steubenville. The River Radio Network provided a live remote from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and the ever-popular Ice Cream Island was onsite for guests who wished to purchase a treat.
Tickets for the raffle went on sale for $100 a piece back in March, and only 1,000 tickets were made available. The winner–Trevor Clark of Brilliant, Ohio–received a 2024 Mustang or a $50,000 credit to use toward a car of his choice at TEAM Automotive.
Net proceeds benefited the Trinity Health System Medical Equipment Fund, which provides resources to purchase equipment that aid in the delivery of healthcare services at the health system. This could include radiology equipment, cancer center equipment, or information technology upgrades, to name a few. The Trinity Health System Foundation has a board of directors made up of local business leaders who help to direct the funding priorities.

STEUBENVILLE — A Brilliant resident will have a new vehicle thanks to a drawing held to raise funds for new equipment at Trinity Medical Center West.
Trevor Clark’s was the name pulled from more than 500 entries in the drawing held Monday outside the hospital’s new entrance, and he has the option of driving home in the 2024 Ford Mustang GT donated by TEAM Automotive or receiving $50,000 of credit toward another vehicle of his choice from the Steubenville dealership.
Up to 1,000 chances, for $100 each, were available through the fundraiser held by Trinity Health Systems Foundation.
Jerry Simspon, chairman of the foundation’s board, noted it’s part of an ongoing campaign to raise $3 million for equipment for the hospital, including the new emergency department that is part of of its recent $75 million expansion.
Catherine Poludniak, the foundation’s manager, said, “Our patients are our first priority, and we can’t serve them well without topnotch equipment.”
Citing an example of the cost of equipment used by the hospital’s staff, she noted a linear accelerator used to treat a broad range of cancer patients costs more than $1 million, not including about $800,000 to install it.

WTOV: Fundraiser benefits Trinity Health System Medical Equipment Fund by Jessica Riley
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — One lucky winner drove home in a 2024 Ford Mustang from Team Automotive as part of a fundraiser for the Trinity Health System Medical Equipment Fund. The fund supports the entire hospital.
“If your department doesn’t have a following, or a fund designated to it, but you still need capital improvements, capital equipment, it’s eligible for that fund,” Trinity Health System Foundation Director Catherine Poludniak said.
The drawing had a goal of $50,000 for equipment. That lucky winner was Trevor Clark of Brilliant.
