July is UV Safety Month!
Many people think they only need sunscreen when the sun is bright and the sky is clear. But even on cloudy or cool days, ultraviolet (UV) rays can still reach your skin. In fact, up to 80% of UV rays can pass through clouds. That means your skin may still be exposed to damage when you’re walking the dog, driving to work or sitting outside on an overcast afternoon.
Too much UV exposure can lead to sunburn, dark spots, wrinkles and even skin cancer over time, but these habits help protect your skin year-round, no matter what the weather is outside.
