Media Round-Up: Local business raises $5,500 for Trinity Health’s TEAR Fund through holiday fundraisers

Our thanks to local news stations WTRF and WTOV for covering the check presentation ceremony yesterday at the Tony Teramana Cancer Center. Over $5,000 was donated to the Trinity Emergency Assistance Relief (T.E.A.R.) Fund.

The money was raised by Joel John of Wintersville, owner of Exquisite Creations by Joel. He and other volunteers came together in December to coordinate a Christmas walk-through in his neighborhood. Tickets were sold to anyone wishing to walk through the participating houses that were decorated for Christmas. They also sold luminaries that lit up the main sidewalk in Wintersville.

This is a wonderful event that Joel has created and grown over the years. He was inspired to raise money for T.E.A.R. when he and his family lost a loved one to cancer.
