Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Inflammatory bowel disease, commonly known as IBD, is a broad term that refers to diseases that cause disruption and inflammation within the digestive system. The two conditions that IBD refers to are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Crohn’s disease affects mainly the tail end of the small intestine, while ulcerative colitis affects the large intestine, known as the colon.

Inflammatory bowel disease can be difficult to treat and challenging to live with, but with the right combination of lifestyle habits, comfort is possible.
