Welcome to CHI Office 365 Central!
Our experience with many of the most-used computer applications – email, calendar and contacts – will improve in a big way with our move to Microsoft Office 365.
Office 365 will make it easy to:
- Communicate and coordinate meetings across CHI since our Outlook (email, calendar and contacts) will all be linked in the cloud
- Use the most advanced online versions of Office (featuring Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote)
- Store and collaborate on documents using OneDrive for Business cloud-based storage (coming soon!)
- Rely on Skype for Business for instant messaging, online meetings and other features. (coming soon!)
Since most of us rely on Microsoft products today, the transition will require only limited training. Team members at the few CHI facilities that don’t currently use Microsoft Outlook or Office will have greater training resources available to make the shift as smooth as possible.
What’s changing for me?
The vast majority of CHI staff currently use and are familiar with Microsoft Outlook and Office products today. However, because we have different versions of Office and Outlook within CHI, the degree of change you may experience will vary. Some may continue use Outlook and Office programs on their computers as they do today; some may need to access Outlook via the web. All of us will be able to use the web version of Office 365 that includes Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
Here’s a brief summary of how you’ll work with email, calendar, contacts and Outlook as well as Office 365 on the web.
Here are some FAQs provided by CHI about our new Office 365 products.
It is important to note that employees are NOT permitted to send emails to everyone in the system. Any emails that are meant for all employees MUST be sent through the marketing department. Please send all such messages to [email protected]
