A Foundation Built on Expertise
Dr. Mecs brings extensive expertise to his practice. For a considerable part of his career, Dr. Mecs held a full-time position at the Women’s Health Unit at Mercy Hospital, where he taught medical students and residents while also maintaining a separate private practice. As the leading gynecological surgeon on staff at St. Clair Memorial Hospital, he was instrumental in the hospital being name a Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News and World Report in 2014 for its gynecology department.
He continues to maintain a career as an educator, serving as an Adjunct Clinical Professor with institutions like Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also Served as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Duquesne University from 1993 to 2009. Furthermore, he proctors other physicians in advanced surgical techniques, including DaVinci robotic-assisted procedures and manual laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Dr. Mecs is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Hungarian Medical Association of America.
