Victor Maevsky, M.D., is a cardiothoracic surgeon with over 21 years of experience in an array of specialized procedures. He and his physician assistant Melissa Kovalski-Glauser have been providing services to the entire Ohio Valley for thousands of patients, in every hospital, for over 14 years.
Clinical interests include but are not limited to: off pump and pump assisted warm beating heart CABG, valvular replacement/repair, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), ventricular assist device surgery (VAD), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), endovascular surgery (abdominal/thoracic aorta and peripheral vascular disease), carotid artery angioplasty/stenting, VATS and minimally invasive thoracic surgery, catheter based treatment of massive and submassive pulmonary embolism, as well as benign and malignant esophageal diseases.
Dr. Maevsky is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. During his career he has made numerous presentations at thoracic and cardiac surgery conferences with publications in major thoracic surgery textbooks.

Dr. Maevsky received his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, British West Indies. After completing his residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J., Dr. Maevsky served a cardiothoracic fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. In 2003, he was also a member of a missionary surgery team at Hospital of Sacred Heart in Milot, Haiti.
