On Friday, April 19, members of the Trinity Health System Twin City Medical Center Senior Leadership Team attended the United Way Day of Caring Volunteer Day.
Through the Tuff Bags program, the Twin City team packed summer activity swag bags for students who attend various Tuscarawas County school districts.
The Trinity Health System Twin City Medical Center Senior Leadership Team also serves as a sponsor for the program and donated jump ropes to it.
“As CommonSpirit Health, we make the healing presence of God known in our world by improving the health of people we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while we advance social justice for all,” Dwayne Richardson, President of Twin City Hospital, said.
“We participate in the United Way Day of Caring because we enjoy making a difference and serving our community and beyond. We are committed to serving with full compassion, creativity, and stewardship,” he added.
Four leadership team members went to the Tuff Bags warehouse and packed over 1,000 swag bags.
These bags promote physical activity for our area youth and provide supplies–such as jump ropes, frisbees, and swimming pool passes–for activities they may not normally get the chance to do
Trinity Health System Twin City has participated in the United Way Day of Caring for many years.
They are proud supporters of many of the organizations involved in the Day of Caring, and the Senior Leadership Team always encourage others to serve in their community when possible.
“Participation is good for society as communities seek shared goals and work together for mutual overall gain,” Richardson said. “Belonging may not be enough. Participation and active engagement allows our team members to connect outside the workplace.”
Our thanks to Brandy Green, Executive Administrative Assistant, Trinity Health System Twin City Medical Center, for providing us with the details and pictures from this day.
